Nationwide entry point
Every valid U.S. ZIP can reach state and national guidance. Exact cart, facility and schedule answers appear only for programs backed by reviewed local sources.
No verified local rule?
Built for trust
Recycling rules are local. Every result shows its jurisdiction, preparation instructions, confidence level, official source and verification date.
A ZIP code or permitted browser location identifies the likely state, county and place. You still confirm the collection program when boundaries overlap.
Plain-language searches map to a reviewed item category—not an AI-generated disposal guess.
Every result links back to the public agency or authorized statewide program behind it.
Why the answer changes
Facilities accept different materials and shapes. A plastic number alone cannot tell you whether your local program can sort and sell that item.
Caps, food residue, loose batteries, plastic bags, and cardboard size can change the correct route even when the base material looks recyclable.
City, county, apartment, and private-hauler programs can use different rules inside the same ZIP code. That is why the checker asks for a service area first.
One item. One local answer.
